Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Randy Lockwood started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darnell Valencia during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Pennington Gap got a freekick which was hit by Darnell Valencia. 4 minutes into the match, Pennington Gap's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Sullivan came free, but Santiago Willingham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Highview FC's Bailey Myles got a free kick in the 10th minute. Isidro Morton charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Morton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pennington Gap getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Isidro Morton hit a great ball. Highview FC's Theodore Lane couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pennington Gap. Tommie Sullivan might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Willingham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tommie Sullivan ran back to his position shaking his head. Theodore Lane took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santiago Willingham. Pennington Gap's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santiago Willingham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Honeycutt in the 24th minute of play. Santiago Willingham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Honeycutt's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Raphael Rosas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pennington Gap's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Highview FC the free kick. After 26 played minutes Pennington Gap got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Rosas. 27 minutes into the match, Pennington Gap's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Sullivan came free, but Santiago Willingham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Angelo Honeycutt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Willingham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Charlie Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Sullivan in the 38th minute of play forced Pennington Gap's goalkeeper Santiago Willingham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Willingham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Honeycutt, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Angelo Honeycutt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommie Sullivan to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Angelo Honeycutt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Willingham. Pennington Gap's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Honeycutt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, Pennington Gap's Randy Lockwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Bailey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Honeycutt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Willingham having to interfere. 60 minutes in the game, Tommie Sullivan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santiago Willingham having to interfere. Santiago Willingham made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Angelo Honeycutt sent off a good shot on target. After 62 played minutes Pennington Gap got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Rosas. Angelo Honeycutt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Honeycutt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Santiago Willingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Honeycutt struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Santiago Willingham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Highview FC. Pennington Gap's Santiago Willingham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Pennington Gap from getting a goal against them. Santiago Willingham made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Angelo Honeycutt sent off a good shot on target. Angelo Honeycutt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Santiago Willingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Angelo Honeycutt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Highview FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Honeycutt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommie Sullivan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Highview FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
