Samuel Phelps recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Stallions FC's Woody Tang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. DeMarcus Koch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marlin Espinoza charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marlin Espinoza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marlin Espinoza kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Lionel Goodwin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Fletcher Hufnagel's late challenge caught a Stallions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Samuel Phelps got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Phelps got free with Lionel Goodwin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fletcher Hufnagel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lionel Goodwin came out and tried to block the shot, but Fletcher Hufnagel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 33rd minute. Fletcher Hufnagel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Goodwin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Stallions FC's Lionel Goodwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fletcher Hufnagel in the 38th minute of play. Woody Tang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. DeMarcus Koch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samuel Phelps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fletcher Hufnagel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Hufnagel in the 53rd minute of play forced Stallions FC's goalkeeper Lionel Goodwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Goodwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Phelps in the 57th minute of the match. Yong Esparza hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Samuel Phelps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Lionel Goodwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fletcher Hufnagel struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Lionel Goodwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Port Richey. Lionel Goodwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Hufnagel in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Hinds in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck DeMarcus Koch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Curt Santana's late challenge caught a Port Richey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Port Richey fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
