Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wyatt Hendrix started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Roper in the 5th minute of play forced Weimar FC's goalkeeper Darin Teague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stan Hickey fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weimar FC's protests and gave Stan Hickey a yellow card for diving instead. Stan Hickey hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Birmingham FC's Paul Flynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Birmingham FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Weimar FC's zone, Shawn Roper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darin Teague came out of the goal and Shawn Roper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Rob Crocker took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paul Flynn to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute of the match, Rob Crocker tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paul Flynn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 35 minutes of play, Birmingham FC's Shawn Roper made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darin Teague was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rob Crocker kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Weimar FC booed when Birmingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dana Calhoun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Weimar FC's Wyatt Tripp got a free kick in the 48th minute. Shawn Roper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shawn Roper was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Weimar FC got a freekick which was hit by Murray Chen. After 56 played minutes Weimar FC got a freekick which was hit by Garret Myrick. A collision led to Weimar FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ervin Foster hit a great ball. Shawn Roper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murray Chen hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Russ Hackett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Russ Hackett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ Hackett in the 68th minute of play forced Weimar FC's goalkeeper Darin Teague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Russ Hackett took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Darin Teague to make any attempt to save it. Birmingham FC's Russ Hackett got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Weimar FC's Rob Crocker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Flynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paul Flynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garret Myrick in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Birmingham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Silver to maneuver through the defense. Paul Flynn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rob Crocker's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
