Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dillon Stearns started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute of the match Decatur got a corner. AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hunter Lowe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hunter Lowe made a great header on Decatur's corner, it was just that AIK's C.J. Palacios managed to reach the ball for a save. Bernardo Cutler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without C.J. Palacios having to interfere. C.J. Palacios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dillon Stearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Dillon Stearns made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. AIK's C.J. Palacios tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the AIK defense, Bernardo Cutler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of C.J. Palacios. The AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that C.J. Palacios should have stopped the shot. C.J. Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Stearns in the 20th minute of the match. Bernardo Cutler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dillon Stearns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dillon Stearns in the 45th minute of play. C.J. Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Stearns in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sterling Woodruff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C.J. Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dillon Stearns in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Bernardo Cutler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. C.J. Palacios was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardo Cutler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but C.J. Palacios made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in AIK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Dillon Stearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bobby Clinton kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. C.J. Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dillon Stearns in the 80th minute of play. If Bernardo Cutler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Cutler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. C.J. Palacios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Arnold Acevedo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Osvaldo Patterson's late challenge caught a Decatur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Patterson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Osvaldo Patterson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Gerard Singletary was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decatur the free kick. In the 91st match minute, AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Singletary to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Cutler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Edmundo Jenkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Decatur getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Bernardo Cutler hit a great ball. When Sterling Woodruff came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sterling Woodruff couldn't finish the play. Decatur's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
