In the 16th minute Jacques Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derrick Stark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ace Seay was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Spencer Humphries. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Penn in the 21st minute of play forced Rockwall's goalkeeper Ace Seay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rockwall getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Preston Shaw hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jamal Penn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burien AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamal Penn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ace Seay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Allen Horn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Burien AFC got a freekick which was hit by Spencer Humphries. Derrick Stark didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacques Scott went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Austin Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Leo Pennington sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ace Seay skillfully saved the ball. Curt Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ace Seay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrick Stark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Scott in the 45th minute of play. Jacques Scott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacques Scott made a kick off. After some careless play in the Rockwall defense, Curt Rivas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ace Seay. The Rockwall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ace Seay should have stopped the shot. If Alex Whitley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Burien AFC's Derrick Stark got control of the ball when Alex Whitley tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Penn in the 60th minute of play forced Rockwall's goalkeeper Ace Seay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derrick Stark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Scott, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Burien AFC booed when Rockwall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Lovett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommie Vasquez, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Derrick Stark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Scott in the 73rd minute of play. Jamal Penn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ace Seay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Jamal Penn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Whitley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Derrick Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Scott in the 97th minute of play forced Burien AFC's goalkeeper Derrick Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
