Arsenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goliad FC the free kick. After 2 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano McNeil. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Melvin Toney hit a great ball. Quintin Wilkinson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Shayne Clement in the 11th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Sandy Sheldon's left hand side. Luciano McNeil was shown his second yellow card after 19 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 20th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano McNeil to maneuver through the defense. Wendell Crum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandy Sheldon having to interfere. If Andre Hardin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Andre Hardin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandy Sheldon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wendell Crum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandy Sheldon having to interfere. Sandy Sheldon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Hardin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Wendell Crum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wendell Crum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Wendell Crum fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sandy Sheldon, passed just outside the right post. Wendell Crum was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Goliad FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Goliad FC booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Toney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andre Hardin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Sandy Sheldon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Andre Hardin struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Sandy Sheldon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goliad FC. When Melvin Toney fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Melvin Toney a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Melvin Toney. Wendell Crum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Goliad FC's Andre Hardin got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kory Haines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Sandy Sheldon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Hardin. Sandy Sheldon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wendell Crum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandy Sheldon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wendell Crum in the 77th minute of the match. If Andre Hardin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell Crum in the 84th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Sandy Sheldon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandy Sheldon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wendell Crum's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Sandy Sheldon made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Andre Hardin sent off a good shot on target. The Arsenal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Goliad FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
