Curt Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Sandy Sheldon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Jamal Penn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal FC's Sandy Sheldon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Arsenal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Burien AFC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marvin Martinez to strike the kick off in the second half. Curt Rivas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Sandy Sheldon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Burien AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandy Sheldon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Jamal Penn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandy Sheldon was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Jamal Penn got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Burien AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommie Vasquez in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Allen Horn got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sandy Sheldon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Melvin Toney got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Curt Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandy Sheldon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Curt Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Burien AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
