Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rory Guillory made the kick off which started today's match. When Glens Falls's Vance Waddell in 3 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bart Garland guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Rory Guillory took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bart Garland to make any attempt to save it. Homer Welch hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Genaro Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weston Lujan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glens Falls's Shane Haines got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes in the game, Genaro Boyle dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 15th minute, Sterling Culver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Glens Falls's Shane Haines got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Glens Falls booed when Edgard AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brock Velasquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brock Velasquez got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Edgard AFC. 19 minutes into the match, Edgard AFC's Genaro Boyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Weston Lujan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Edgard AFC's Bart Garland got control of the ball when Vance Waddell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Glens Falls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sterling Culver to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Glens Falls's goal looked a bit too open when Brock Velasquez came free, but Weston Lujan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bobby Dalton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Weston Lujan having to make a save. Sterling Culver kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Genaro Boyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Weston Lujan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Genaro Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weston Lujan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cruz Sharp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Weston Lujan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Bobby Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genaro Boyle was the one to do the kick off. When Willy Swain fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glens Falls's protests and gave Willy Swain a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Glens Falls got a freekick which was hit by Willy Swain. Weston Lujan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brock Velasquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Edgard AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Whittaker to maneuver through the defense. Bobby Dalton's late challenge caught a Glens Falls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobby Dalton helped the player get up and apologised. Bobby Dalton hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Edgard AFC's Bart Garland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Guillory in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, one of Glens Falls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glens Falls. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Edgard AFC's Genaro Boyle got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Weston Lujan. In the 63rd minute Genaro Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weston Lujan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Brock Velasquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Weston Lujan. Glens Falls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brock Velasquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bart Garland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Guillory in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Glens Falls getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Shane Haines hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Brock Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edgard AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brock Velasquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Weston Lujan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shane Haines kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th play minute Brock Velasquez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Weston Lujan. 1-4. In the 85th minute of the match, Brock Velasquez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Weston Lujan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Genaro Boyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 98th minute of the match Bobby Dalton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bobby Dalton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The Glens Falls fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Edgard AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
