FIORENTINA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lynchburg the free kick. Maurice Ewing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
After 51 played minutes, Lynchburg's Antoine Coats shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurice Ewing came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scot Doran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Goins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Scot Doran made a huge save. J.C. Lindsay kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Jack Clement was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Maurice Ewing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jared Cho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FIORENTINA's Garth Zapata got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Lynchburg getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Tad Bernier hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Lynchburg's goalkeeper Scot Doran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Goins. Zachariah Thayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scot Doran having to interfere. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jack Clement who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynchburg's Scot Doran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tad Bernier in the 84th minute of play forced FIORENTINA's goalkeeper Maurice Ewing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurice Ewing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jared Cho in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Lynchburg booed when FIORENTINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Reece didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Ari Summers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurice Ewing skillfully saved the ball. Maurice Ewing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jared Cho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute of the match, Jack Clement tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Scot Doran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
