Rex Singh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Adalberto Church tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Weldon Guevara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Charlotte FC's Adalberto Church got control of the ball when Weldon Guevara tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Dominic Meredith made the kick off in the second half. Weldon Guevara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adalberto Church tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Weldon Guevara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalberto Church having to make a save. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ottumwa's goalkeeper Marlin Sykes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rex Singh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Weldon Guevara came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ottumwa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weldon Guevara couldn't finish the play. Charlotte FC's Dominic Meredith got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Charlotte FC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Charlotte FC's Dominic Meredith looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marlin Sykes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Meredith in the 84th minute of the match. Dominic Meredith struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Marlin Sykes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte FC. Christopher Clifton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlin Sykes having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Charlotte FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
