In the 37th minute Emmanuel Drew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trinidad Fields saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tamiami booed when Summerside AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Whitehead didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Summerside AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuel Drew came free, but Trinidad Fields reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuel Drew to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bart Parham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bart Parham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Underwood having to interfere. Abraham Underwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Parham in the 83rd minute of play. Wilbert Craig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ed Coley fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamiami's protests and gave Ed Coley a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Summerside AFC booed when Tamiami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Coley didn't get a good kick on the ball.
