Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Taylor Bernal made the kick off which started today's match. Theron Cormier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percy Higgins succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Taylor Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillman's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trey Crockett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Todd Reese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trey Crockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Croswell's Lamar Gale got a free kick in the 11th minute. Trey Crockett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taylor Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Todd Reese managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Todd Reese was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rickey Delaney during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Hillman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickey Delaney to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Croswell booed when Hillman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickey Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Teddy Hobson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philip Lujan skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Croswell's zone, Trevor Clemons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trey Crockett came out of the goal and Trevor Clemons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shelby Loyd in the 25th minute of play forced Hillman's goalkeeper Philip Lujan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Trevor Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes, Percy Higgins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croswell and the Hillman players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Croswell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Higgins to maneuver through the defense. Croswell's Trey Crockett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Clemons in the 35th minute of play. If Shelby Loyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trevor Clemons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Trey Crockett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trevor Clemons took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trey Crockett. Trey Crockett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Taylor Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillman's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trey Crockett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shelby Loyd was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Croswell getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Theron Cormier hit a great ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Croswell's goalkeeper Trey Crockett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Taylor Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shelby Loyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-1 became the score in the 77th minute when Shelby Loyd elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Percy Higgins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zackary Mabry kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Teddy Hobson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Croswell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teddy Hobson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Croswell's zone, Todd Reese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trey Crockett came out of the goal and Todd Reese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Todd Reese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trey Crockett having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Hillman's goal looked a bit too open when Shelby Loyd came free, but Philip Lujan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Todd Reese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Trey Crockett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Croswell could leave the field as winners, despite Hillman having more of the ball for most of the match.
