The supporters of Croswell booed when Johnson City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milan Light didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Teddy Hobson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnny Lopez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Johnny Lopez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Shelby Loyd showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. A collision led to Johnson City FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Randall Dodge hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Percy Higgins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croswell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Higgins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Shelby Loyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shelby Loyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Johnny Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shelby Loyd in the 31st minute of play forced Johnson City FC's goalkeeper Johnny Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shelby Loyd in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Lopez saved Johnson City FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute Abraham Stinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trey Crockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexis Moses fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trey Crockett having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Sams during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Croswell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Sams to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Abraham Stinson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trey Crockett, 1-1. 73 minutes into the game, Abraham Stinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Trey Crockett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Shelby Loyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Percy Higgins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Stinson got free with Trey Crockett in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Abraham Stinson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Johnson City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Johnson City FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
