Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roscoe Newman took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6thth minute of the game Benjamin Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sound Beach's Dirk Rich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Montes in the 7th minute of play forced Sound Beach's goalkeeper Dirk Rich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tod Parker got free with Ricardo Cronin in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Montes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dirk Rich having to make a save. If Roscoe Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zachary Dietz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Rich having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Roscoe Newman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirk Rich was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Benjamin Montes struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dirk Rich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Culpeper FC. If Roscoe Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roscoe Newman struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. In the 38th match minute, Sound Beach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myles Lacy to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Culpeper FC's Benjamin Montes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk Rich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roscoe Newman in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dirk Rich saved Sound Beach from getting behind. Benjamin Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Rich having to interfere. Roscoe Newman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dirk Rich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roscoe Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolland Souza made a kick off. Dirk Rich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin McPherson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roscoe Newman came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Culpeper FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roscoe Newman couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Sound Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Quintin McPherson came free, but Dirk Rich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dirk Rich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Montes in the 68th minute. If Zachary Dietz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolland Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ricardo Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Raphael Hansen fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sound Beach's protests and gave Raphael Hansen a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the game, one of Sound Beach:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Roscoe Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Parker in the 99th minute of the match. The Sound Beach fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Culpeper FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
