Hunters Creek Village AFC's Bob Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vance Riker in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Malad City FC booed when Hunters Creek Village AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lanny Munoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vance Riker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bob Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alistair Gustafson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vance Riker in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Hunters Creek Village AFC booed when Malad City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristopher Darling didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vance Riker in the 20th minute of play forced Hunters Creek Village AFC's goalkeeper Bob Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Ward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Malad City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Ward came free, but Bryon Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alistair Gustafson struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Bob Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malad City FC. Alistair Gustafson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Martinez having to interfere. The Hunters Creek Village AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Malad City FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Ward stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Alistair Gustafson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vance Riker in the 56th minute of play forced Hunters Creek Village AFC's goalkeeper Bob Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alistair Gustafson took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bob Martinez. Bob Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vance Riker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Hunters Creek Village AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vance Riker came free, but Bob Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alistair Gustafson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vance Riker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alistair Gustafson scored 0-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bob Martinez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bob Martinez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristopher Darling's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Vance Riker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bob Martinez came out and tried to block the shot, but Vance Riker slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 92nd minute. Vance Riker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th match minute, Hunters Creek Village AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Crenshaw to maneuver through the defense. Malad City FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
