A collision led to Iowa AFC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sung Tyson hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tom McCann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josh Clayton was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Iowa AFC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Esmford Unite fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dale Arellano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dale Arellano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Heriberto Slaughter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute, Fabian Prather hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sung Tyson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heriberto Slaughter having to interfere. Heriberto Slaughter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sanford Beard in the 21st minute of the match. Tom McCann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Josh Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sung Tyson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Heriberto Slaughter made a huge save. Esmford Unite fc's Heriberto Slaughter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Esmford Unite fc from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute Sanford Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heriberto Slaughter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sanford Beard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Beard in the 40th minute of play forced Esmford Unite fc's goalkeeper Heriberto Slaughter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sung Tyson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom McCann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom McCann to make the kick off. If Sung Tyson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Esmford Unite fc's Arnold Hogue seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnold Hogue the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Esmford Unite fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnold Hogue had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Esmford Unite fc! Esmford Unite fc:s Heriberto Slaughter showed great skill when he stopped Dale Arellano:s penalty. 60 minutes into the match, Dale Arellano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heriberto Slaughter. Esmford Unite fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Arellano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The Iowa AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Sung Tyson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Iowa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sung Tyson couldn't finish the play. Wyatt Lefler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Clayton having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Sung Tyson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Iowa AFC's Sanford Beard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heriberto Slaughter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Esmford Unite fc's goal looked a bit too open when Sanford Beard came free, but Heriberto Slaughter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sung Tyson in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heriberto Slaughter saved Esmford Unite fc from getting behind.
