Matt Huggins started the match with the kick off. Joey Bauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Huggins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacques Gann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Wilmer Travis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th minute Matt Huggins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Matt Huggins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Sagamore AFC's Jacques Gann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Reinaldo Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Bauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Huggins in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Freeman in the 43rd minute of play forced Sagamore AFC's goalkeeper Joey Bauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Collin Yang in the 44th minute of play forced Sagamore AFC's goalkeeper Joey Bauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sagamore AFC's Joey Bauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Freeman in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sagamore AFC's goalkeeper Joey Bauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joey Bauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Huggins in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Olean booed when Sagamore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Childs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joey Bauer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vance Vincent. In the 62nd minute Matt Huggins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Freeman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joey Bauer firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Matt Huggins took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Joey Bauer to make any attempt to save it. Joey Bauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Huggins in the 77th minute of play. Jacques Gann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilmer Travis having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Matt Huggins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joey Bauer. The goal made the score 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vance Vincent during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vance Vincent hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sagamore AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Chuck Hunt hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Joey Bauer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wilmer Travis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Gann, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Joey Bauer made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Collin Yang sent off a good shot on target. The Olean supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olean would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
