Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) STOP Whining!'s Gerardo De La Cruz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oswaldo Tharp hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, STOP Whining!'s goalkeeper Felipe Bloom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Winston Matthews. 9 minutes into the game, Gerardo De La Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mitch Samuels was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute Gerardo De La Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Samuels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristopher Grace thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Mitch Samuels, a very annoying self made goal in the 14th minute which led to 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Winston Matthews could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Felipe Bloom however easily saved by the left post. A long shot from Travis Gauthier in the 28th minute of play was well struck, but Felipe Bloom made a really good save at the right post. Milo Santiago scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitch Samuels, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mitch Samuels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoff Vernon, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sheldon Benjamin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Bloom having to make a save. Winston Matthews who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Felipe Bloom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

STOP Whining!'s Felipe Bloom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winston Matthews in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Santiago in the 53rd minute of play forced Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. STOP Whining!'s Felipe Bloom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sheldon Benjamin in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Winston Matthews in the 59th minute of play forced STOP Whining!'s goalkeeper Felipe Bloom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 61st minute of the match Oswaldo Tharp completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Oswaldo Tharp a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Geoff Vernon came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mitch Samuels could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Winston Matthews in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Bloom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Geoff Vernon took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Mitch Samuels to make any attempt to save it. When Milo Santiago fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STOP Whining!'s protests and gave Milo Santiago a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mechanicville booed when STOP Whining! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milo Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Winston Matthews's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Bloom was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo De La Cruz got free with Mitch Samuels in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Santiago in the 76th minute of play forced Mechanicville's goalkeeper Mitch Samuels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of STOP Whining! booed when Mechanicville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Ladner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo De La Cruz during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Gerardo De La Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitch Samuels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milo Santiago in the 83rd minute of play. Geoff Vernon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Mitch Samuels made a huge save. In the 86th match minute, Mechanicville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelly Walsh to maneuver through the defense. The Mechanicville supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching STOP Whining!'s performance. The match ended with a win for STOP Whining!.
