The supporters of World stars booed when Purvis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brad Galloway didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brett Hoover charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brett Hoover the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes World stars got a freekick which was hit by Brett Hoover. A sloppy throw-in by Dario Saldana in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by World stars's Brett Hoover. Brett Hoover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. World stars's Reggie McRae got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Carlos in the 27th minute of play forced World stars's goalkeeper Jefferson Wallace to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th match minute, World stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darin Dozier to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Wallace showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Woodrow Melendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Purvis's Woodrow Melendez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Wallace narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Vincent Steiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donald Kuhn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jefferson Wallace. World stars's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 55 played minutes World stars got a freekick which was hit by Marcellus Franks. In the 67thth minute of the game Darin Dozier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Purvis's Lincoln Keller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Purvis's Brad Galloway got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Reggie McRae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Purvis's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Welch came free, but Lincoln Keller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Wallace showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Woodrow Melendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. William Carlos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Wallace having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, one of World stars:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. World stars:s Jefferson Wallace showed great skill when he stopped Donald Kuhn:s penalty. A collision led to World stars getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Brett Hoover hit a great ball. World stars's Jefferson Wallace proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save World stars from getting a goal against them. The Purvis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
