Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Casey Clifton made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daryl Swanson in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lawrence Lockhart saved Tinicum Township from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Tinicum Township's zone, Clint Blount stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Lockhart came out of the goal and Clint Blount tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Clifton in the 9th minute of play forced St. James FC's goalkeeper Pete Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Costello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo McKenna in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute of the match, Casey Clifton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pete Costello saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daryl Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Lockhart having to interfere. Lawrence Lockhart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Dickey in the 19th minute of play. Bernardo Huang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Lockhart having to interfere. Daryl Swanson took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lawrence Lockhart. Lawrence Lockhart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Antonio Hadley's late challenge caught a Tinicum Township's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Hadley helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardo McKenna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Costello having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Tinicum Township's Casey Clifton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pete Costello. Pete Costello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Kerry Dickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, St. James FC's Pete Costello got control of the ball when Ricardo McKenna tried to sneak it across the goal line. St. James FC's Pete Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odell Lucas in the 46th minute of play. Lawrence Lockhart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Swanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kerry Dickey made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Odell Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tinicum Township's supporters rose to their feet, but Odell Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pete Costello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Clint Blount fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St. James FC's protests and gave Clint Blount a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Clint Blount hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to St. James FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Andrew Leach hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrew Leach during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Tinicum Township a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lawrence Slater, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of St. James FC's Pete Costello. 3-1. In the 72nd minute Casey Clifton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daryl Swanson's late challenge caught a Tinicum Township's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daryl Swanson helped the player get up and apologised. Daryl Swanson kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Pete Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo McKenna in the 75th minute of play. Daryl Swanson was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 76th minute, Daryl Swanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Clint Blount came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the St. James FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clint Blount couldn't finish the play. Clint Blount received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lawrence Lockhart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clint Blount recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute Walker Keenan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Kerry Dickey managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. James FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerry Dickey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lawrence Lockhart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 99 minutes of play, Tinicum Township's Ricardo McKenna made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pete Costello was left in no man's land by his defense there! St. James FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
