Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Noah French started the match with the kick off. Pedro Bryant kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Almont FC were furious when Arthur Moses was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ivan Hinds came out of the goal and Mason Stafford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Lyons in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Hinds prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Larson in the 14th minute of play forced Almont FC's goalkeeper Ivan Hinds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Daryl Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zachery Gill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Richard Suarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 22 in the game by Domingo Lyons from a close distance when the talented Ivan Hinds managed to make a qualified save. Almont FC's players were relieved. Domingo Lyons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Domingo Lyons came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Lyons couldn't finish the play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally Swenson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Noah French had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Mel Albright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, Brighton's Domingo Lyons made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Hinds was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute Noah French shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Hinds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Almont FC's zone, Noah French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Hinds came out of the goal and Noah French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Zachery Gill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noah French scored 2-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Hinds, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Brighton were victorious despite being under pressure from Almont FC for much of the match.
