In the 9th minute, Weldon Rosas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Temple City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Marc Looney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sanford Richard was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes in the game, Grant Doran fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ray Cunningham having to interfere. A collision led to Temple City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Antony Moreno hit a great ball. Ray Cunningham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Weldon Rosas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Dante Milton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wisconsin Rapids FC and the Temple City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Temple City booed when Wisconsin Rapids FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Milton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marc Looney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, one of Temple City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 65th match minute, Wisconsin Rapids FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrese Libby to maneuver through the defense. When Weldon Rosas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Temple City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weldon Rosas couldn't finish the play. Marc Looney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
