Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ruben Simons started the match with the kick off. Ruben Simons might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dudley Hayes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Simons ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Beltre hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Dudley Hayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Simons in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thurman Rivera during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 11 minutes into the match, Gibsonburg AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Whittington came free, but Sydney Smalls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Ruben Simons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudley Hayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Simons struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dudley Hayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gibsonburg AFC. Sydney Smalls made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Whittington in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gibsonburg AFC's Darrell Hamm got a free kick in the 25th minute. Sammy Light sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Hobart's goal looked a bit too open when Darrell Hamm came free, but Dudley Hayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sammy Lights short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Dudley Hayes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruben Simons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dudley Hayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gibsonburg AFC's Johnathan Beatty got a free kick in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gibsonburg AFC's Ruben Simons slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dudley Hayes. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Johnathan Beatty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gibsonburg AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnathan Beatty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Dudley Hayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Simons in the 54th minute of the match. When Marcellus Cordero fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hobart's protests and gave Marcellus Cordero a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Sammy Light managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gibsonburg AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sammy Light was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudley Hayes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes of play, Gibsonburg AFC's Sammy Light made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dudley Hayes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Gibsonburg AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Darrell Hamm hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Cason Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gibsonburg AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cason Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudley Hayes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dudley Hayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Light, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Gibsonburg AFC's Sydney Smalls got control of the ball when Daniel Grubb tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Thurman Rivera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Light in the 95th minute of play forced Hobart's goalkeeper Dudley Hayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thurman Rivera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudley Hayes having to interfere.
