Pat Chandler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelly Houston in the 5th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Kelly Houston made a precise shot to the right of Pat Chandler. Pepper Pike FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Orange Grove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelly Houston to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Tad Swartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Chandler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Taylor Kurtz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darron Dent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Temple having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Riley Sorensen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pepper Pike FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orange Grove the free kick. A collision led to Pepper Pike FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Riley Sorensen hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Kelly Houston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pat Chandler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelly Houston, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A hard, long distance shot from Kelly Houston flew over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Wyatt Lehman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pat Chandler. Pepper Pike FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wyatt Lehman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Pepper Pike FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Orange Grove were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddy Washington to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Kelly Houston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orange Grove's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelly Houston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pat Chandler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Terence Law got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Vincent Lovell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wyatt Lehman struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Pat Chandler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orange Grove. Darron Dent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Napoleon Temple tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Eddy Washington made a precise shot to the right of Napoleon Temple. Orange Grove's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 72nd minute, Jorge McIntosh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Napoleon Temple was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Napoleon Temple took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darron Dent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pat Chandler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wyatt Lehman's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Napoleon Temple made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Washington in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Wyatt Lehman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orange Grove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wyatt Lehman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Orange Grove's goal looked a bit too open when Darron Dent came free, but Napoleon Temple reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepper Pike FC's Darron Dent suffered a sore thigh after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 95 minutes, Rudolph Gleason mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orange Grove and the Pepper Pike FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Orange Grove got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Gleason. Orange Grove's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
