Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eli Samuel got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Conyngham AFC's Clinton Horner got a free kick in the 12th minute. Keith Cash was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute of the match Matt Rankin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Randall Gregory skillfully saved the ball. If Keith Cash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Truman Morgan lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 22 minutes into the game, one of Conyngham AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Randall Gregory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryant Fay in the 30th minute of the match. Conyngham AFC's Randall Gregory played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Cash in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Conyngham AFC defense, Renaldo McMahon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Randall Gregory. The Conyngham AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randall Gregory should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Keith Cash made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Perry McGee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Conyngham AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 59 minutes into the match, Maumee FC's Roger Presley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randall Gregory narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Graig Whitten's late challenge caught a Conyngham AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Graig Whitten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Maumee FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graig Whitten to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Maumee FC's Rocco Osborn got control of the ball when Perry McGee tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 played minutes Conyngham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Homer Foster. If Perry McGee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Graig Whitten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maumee FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Graig Whitten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randall Gregory breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Maumee FC's zone, Perry McGee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rocco Osborn came out of the goal and Perry McGee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perry McGee got free with Rocco Osborn in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 90 minutes, Clinton Horner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conyngham AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clinton Horner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perry McGee got free with Rocco Osborn in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Mark Aldridge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Conyngham AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
