Somerset's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vincenzo Tidwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincenzo Tidwell in the 9th minute of play forced Somerset's goalkeeper Alfred Russo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Russo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deon Veltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Alfred Russo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachery Westbrook in the 13th minute of play. Lanny Paquette was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Donny Lincoln. After some careless play in the Somerset defense, Zachery Westbrook kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Russo. The Somerset fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Russo should have stopped the shot. When Vincenzo Tidwell fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pumpkin's protests and gave Vincenzo Tidwell a yellow card for diving instead. Vincenzo Tidwell kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alfred Russo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pumpkin's Vincenzo Tidwell shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After 31 minutes, Jonathon Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pumpkin and the Somerset players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, one of Pumpkin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pumpkin. 37 minutes into the match, Vincenzo Tidwell notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Somerset's Alfred Russo. Alfred Russo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Somerset's Alfred Russo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachery Westbrook in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Lincoln Root managed to get in a good position for a shot. Somerset's supporters rose to their feet, but Lincoln Root was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lanny Paquette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 minutes of play, Pumpkin's Deon Veltman made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Russo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lincoln Root stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfred Russo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincenzo Tidwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfred Russo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincenzo Tidwell in the 58th minute. Alfred Russo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincenzo Tidwell in the 60th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Alfred Russo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adrian Stafford kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Adrian Stafford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deon Veltman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfred Russo came out and tried to block the shot, but Deon Veltman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute Vincenzo Tidwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Russo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Somerset's Alfred Russo got control of the ball when Vincenzo Tidwell tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zachery Westbrook got free with Alfred Russo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfred Russo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Zachery Westbrook sent off a good shot on target. Somerset's Alfred Russo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Somerset from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute Deon Veltman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Russo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincenzo Tidwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Alfred Russo made a huge save. 99 minutes into the match, Pumpkin's goal looked a bit too open when Casper Epps came free, but Lanny Paquette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Pumpkin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Somerset throughout the match.
