Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frank Tompkins made the kick off which started today's match. If Stephen Matlock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kensington AFC's Rupert McCormick got a free kick in the 8th minute. Kensington AFC's Jasper Ruffin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Kensington AFC from getting a goal against them. Kensington AFC's Jasper Ruffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tompkins in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, King Bean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kensington AFC the free kick. King Bean hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Stephen Matlock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Rupert McCormick put in a rough tackle. Frank Tompkins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jasper Ruffin came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Tompkins slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 24th minute. Mark Roy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Ruffin having to interfere. Frank Tompkins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jasper Ruffin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Alvin Weston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stephen Matlock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. New York FC's King Neff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kensington AFC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvin Weston stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kevin Hardin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clark Guy's late challenge caught a New York FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clark Guy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Kensington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Guy to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kensington AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kevin Hardin hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Geoffrey Howell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kensington AFC the free kick. Geoffrey Howell kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Monty Cottrell charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Monty Cottrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes New York FC got a freekick which was hit by Monty Cottrell. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Kevin Hardin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kensington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Hardin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincenzo Jewell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Ritter during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kensington AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kurt Ritter hit a great ball. Kevin Hardin fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 80th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Monty Cottrell was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 94th minute, Monty Cottrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kensington AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because New York FC had won, even though Kensington AFC had held more of the ball.
