Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carson Hanna started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, BYU Cougars's goal looked a bit too open when Donovan Wetzel came free, but Sydney Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 4 minutes, Abdul Corbett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BYU Cougars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdul Corbett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute DeMarcus Gipson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bennett Woods had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute Donovan Wetzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, BYU Cougars's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Rafferty came free, but Sydney Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Colin Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BYU Cougars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colin Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. DeMarcus Gipson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Sydney Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donovan Wetzel in the 23rd minute of play. Sydney Jacob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Rafferty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Jacob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennett Woods, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Colin Ventura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Johnathan Gaston made a huge save. Bennett Woods hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Carson Hanna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, Cedar Lake FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by DeMarcus Gipson to maneuver through the defense. Carson Hanna scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathan Gaston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sydney Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from DeMarcus Gipson in the 42nd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donovan Wetzel made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Jasper Boyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BYU Cougars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cedar Lake FC the free kick. The supporters of Cedar Lake FC booed when BYU Cougars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jasper Boyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Rafferty took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Jacob. Sydney Jacob dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The BYU Cougars fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when BYU Cougars's Carson Hanna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute Carson Hanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Gaston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdul Corbett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Gaston having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Rafferty got free with Sydney Jacob in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, BYU Cougars's goalkeeper Sydney Jacob had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Rafferty. In the 77th minute, Carson Hanna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Abdul Corbett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute, DeMarcus Gipson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cedar Lake FC's Gabriel Rafferty got a free kick in the 90th minute. Colin Ventura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Johnathan Gaston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BYU Cougars had played much better football throughout.
