The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Syosset FC booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luther Rowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristofer Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Glover in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Len King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andy Ayers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wallace Huber, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Len King struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Andy Ayers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Syosset FC. After a rather tough play, Syosset FC's Rodney Buckner got a free kick in the 25th minute. Zack Sheridan's late challenge caught a Syosset FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 67 minutes, Randolph Benedict mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Syosset FC and the San Lorenzo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute of the match, Odell Saunders tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristofer Lawrence saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wallace Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Ayers having to interfere. Len King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Andy Ayers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Wallace Huber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Syosset FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wallace Huber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 played minutes Syosset FC got a freekick which was hit by Parker Talbot. Kristofer Lawrence made an important save on a dangerous shot by Werner Brock in the 94th minute. Syosset FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
