Sonny Ledbetter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucien McDaniel in the 7th minute of the match. Sherman Ricks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Lim, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Benna Boys FC's Eusebio Lim got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Eusebio Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sherman Ricks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the East Sandwich AFC defense, Eusebio Lim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sherman Ricks. The East Sandwich AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sherman Ricks should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Javier Nixon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34th play minutes Lucien McDaniel shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Sonny Ledbetter and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 39th minute, Chance Bearden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Max Bates during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Max Bates kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Sherman Ricks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Nixon in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernie Barajas to make the kick off. Lucien McDaniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sonny Ledbetter having to make a save. Sonny Ledbetter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucien McDaniel's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Benna Boys FC's Javier Nixon got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Eusebio Lim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benna Boys FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Lim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusebio Lim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Sherman Ricks made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Benna Boys FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Barajas came free, but Sonny Ledbetter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucien McDaniel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Ledbetter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Chance Bearden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sherman Ricks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sonny Ledbetter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien McDaniel in the 77th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Simon during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Benna Boys FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Simon to maneuver through the defense. Sonny Ledbetter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucien McDaniel in the 84th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Lucien McDaniel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sonny Ledbetter. Benna Boys FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucien McDaniel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 91 minutes into the match, East Sandwich AFC's Ernie Barajas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Ledbetter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ernie Barajas came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the East Sandwich AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernie Barajas couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that East Sandwich AFC were the better team. East Sandwich AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
