In the 16th minute Leland Blankenship shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Donahue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Juvenaldo's Eddie Ford got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Lancaster FC's Micah Tompkins made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Donahue was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th match minute, Juvenaldo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shannon Gage to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Donahue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Tompkins in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Steve Norwood made a precise shot to the right of Roger Locke. Lancaster FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Micah Tompkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lancaster FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Micah Tompkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Donahue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lancaster FC's zone, Abdul Holliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Locke came out of the goal and Abdul Holliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Micah Tompkins succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Sandy Grover took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Locke. Lancaster FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Lancaster FC's Roger Locke got control of the ball when Steve Norwood tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Micah Tompkins made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Steve Norwood made a precise shot to the right of Roger Locke. Roger Locke went to the wrong direction when Dalton Presley was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Lancaster FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Norwood came free, but Roger Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Tang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jaime Donahue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kurtis Cooper fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lancaster FC's protests and gave Kurtis Cooper a yellow card for diving instead. Kurtis Cooper hit a great freekick 100 minutes into the match. The Lancaster FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
