But to his dismay, Bobby Dillard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes Ellsworth South FC got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Franklin. Billy Sewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ty Farrell having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Ellsworth South FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Logan to maneuver through the defense. Rodger McGee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrance Brooks having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ellsworth South FC defense, Rodger McGee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terrance Brooks. The Ellsworth South FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terrance Brooks should have stopped the shot. After the first half Alturas were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When Rodger McGee fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alturas's protests and gave Rodger McGee a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alturas's Rodger McGee got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Alturas's Rodger McGee in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ellsworth South FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ellsworth South FC's goalkeeper Terrance Brooks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Alturas's George Whitley got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Alturas's Ty Farrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Franklin in the 67th minute of play. Terrance Brooks made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Rodger McGee sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alturas's goalkeeper Ty Farrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodger McGee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bobby Dillard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Domenic Amos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Ellsworth South FC's goalkeeper Terrance Brooks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bobby Dillard. Rodger McGee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 79 played minutes Ellsworth South FC got a freekick which was hit by Dustin Uster. Alturas's Jerry Conley couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ellsworth South FC. Bobby Dillard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terrance Brooks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodger McGee's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Jamal Irvin's late challenge caught a Alturas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jamal Irvin helped the player get up and apologised. Terrance Brooks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bobby Dillard went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After having played for 93 minutes, Rodger McGee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alturas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodger McGee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ellsworth South FC's Terrance Brooks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodger McGee in the 97th minute of play. The Ellsworth South FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alturas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
