Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Duke Esparza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Landis in the 3rd minute of play forced East Haven's goalkeeper Dale Eckert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Zachary Rasmussen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watsontown AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachary Rasmussen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Eckert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dale Eckert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zachary Rasmussen's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, East Haven's goal looked a bit too open when Zachary Rasmussen came free, but Dale Eckert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Watsontown AFC's Karl Landis got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Stroh charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Stroh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Romeo Stroh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Zachary Rasmussen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Watsontown AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Duke Esparza scored to the left of an out of position Carson Ring, making the score, 1-1. Zachary Rasmussen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Eckert having to interfere. After some careless play in the East Haven defense, Karl Landis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dale Eckert. The East Haven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dale Eckert should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Karl Landis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dale Eckert. East Haven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl Landis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Zachary Rasmussen kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, East Haven's Philip Steele got a free kick in the 46th minute. Dale Eckert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Rasmussen in the 47th minute of play.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duke Esparza during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 59 minutes into the match, East Haven's goalkeeper Dale Eckert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Landis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Clinton in the 61st minute of play forced East Haven's goalkeeper Dale Eckert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Watsontown AFC's Carson Ring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fletcher Connelly in the 67th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of East Haven:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Watsontown AFC:s goal. Dale Eckert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Landis in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murray Miranda during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, East Haven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Zachary Rasmussen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dale Eckert having to make a save. When Karl Landis came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Watsontown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Landis couldn't finish the play. If Karl Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Landis struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dale Eckert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Watsontown AFC. Karl Landis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zachary Rasmussen in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dale Eckert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Karl Landis came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Watsontown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Landis couldn't finish the play. Watsontown AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
