The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yukon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Myles Durham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Jal AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tyrone Powell hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, J.C. Thurston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Terence Stroud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wallace Larson was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filiberto Tyler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jal AFC's Wallace Larson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myles Durham in the 54th minute of play.
