The Revolutionary F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerry Odom should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Thomas Gaston was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 39th minute Reed Coker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Jacobsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Jacobsen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reed Coker in the 45th minute of play forced The Village FC's goalkeeper Hugo Jacobsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes The Village FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Gallo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reed Coker made a kick off. Hugo Jacobsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Timmons, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Lloyd Hartman charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lloyd Hartman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Revolutionary F.C.'s zone, Renato McGowan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Odom came out of the goal and Renato McGowan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reed Coker scored 1-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Jacobsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Renato McGowan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Jerry Odom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reed Coker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hugo Jacobsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Charles Timmons came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Revolutionary F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Timmons couldn't finish the play. If Renato McGowan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
