The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to La Mitad Más Uno getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Isaiah Rios hit a great ball. Archie Hoffman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Marcos Madison skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Archie Hoffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Madison having to interfere. Claude Lozano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Mitad Más Uno's Lane McRae got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vince Hare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Lane McRae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mitad Más Uno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lane McRae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes Crowley got a freekick which was hit by Benny Orozco. 22 minutes into the match, Crowley's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Hare came free, but Jimmy Sanders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Archie Hoffman got free with Marcos Madison in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. La Mitad Más Uno's Marcos Madison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Lozano in the 31st minute of play. After 34 minutes, Vince Hare made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crowley's Jimmy Sanders tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jimmy Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enoch Hammons, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Vince Hare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Sanders having to interfere. Jimmy Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lane McRae in the 40th minute of play. Archie Hoffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Madison having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Vince Hare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mitad Más Uno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vince Hare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jimmy Sanders made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lane McRae in the 51st minute. After 54 played minutes Crowley got a freekick which was hit by Damien Bartley. Marcos Madison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Hoffman in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Crowley getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dane Land hit a great ball. If Claude Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Orozco hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, Enoch Hammons was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Mitad Más Uno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crowley the free kick. Lane McRae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Sanders having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in La Mitad Más Uno's zone, Claude Lozano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Madison came out of the goal and Claude Lozano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Archie Hoffman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crowley's supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Hoffman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Madison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Madison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Lozano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Archie Hoffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marcos Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Madison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Lozano in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Dane Land hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The La Mitad Más Uno supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Mitad Más Uno would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
