Marcos Madison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Coats, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in FLORIDA FC's zone, Lane McRae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Von Jewell came out of the goal and Lane McRae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lane McRae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Von Jewell having to interfere. Wally Coats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marcos Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alejandro Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lane McRae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Vince Hare put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Von Jewell. In the 70th match minute, FLORIDA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Austin Benson to maneuver through the defense. Vince Hare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Von Jewell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Hare in the 95th minute of the match. Lane McRae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
