Stefan Massey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Deal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 14 in the game by Zachery Talbot from a close distance when the talented Reuben Schmidt managed to make a qualified save. Montgomery City AFC's players were relieved. In the 16th minute, Benny Metcalf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie Lujan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Massey. Leicester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aurelio Driscoll struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Reuben Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester United. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Driscoll in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reuben Schmidt saved Montgomery City AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Driscoll in the 33rd minute of play forced Montgomery City AFC's goalkeeper Reuben Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Gilbert's late challenge caught a Leicester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Gilbert helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Gilbert kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Aurelio Driscoll came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Leicester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Driscoll couldn't finish the play. Reuben Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Driscoll in the 49th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Driscoll stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Leicester United fully deserved thier win.
