Nelson Shultz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Friend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Geoff Coker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Gregg Ferrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laurel Bay FC's Geoff Coker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Toby Trimble made a precise shot to the right of Theodore Lunsford. Woodbury Heights's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Laurel Bay FC's zone, James Woods stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geoff Coker came out of the goal and James Woods tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the game, Mario Graham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laurel Bay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodbury Heights the free kick. The supporters of Woodbury Heights booed when Laurel Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Graham didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toby Trimble in the 32nd minute of play forced Woodbury Heights's goalkeeper Theodore Lunsford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Woodbury Heights booed when Laurel Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ross Simpson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Woodbury Heights defense, Toby Trimble kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Lunsford. The Woodbury Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Lunsford should have stopped the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregg Ferrell was the one to do the kick off. Toby Trimble's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Theodore Lunsford firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 53rd match minute, Laurel Bay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Byrd to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Woodbury Heights defense, Toby Trimble kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Lunsford. The Woodbury Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Lunsford should have stopped the shot. Randall Hager received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Theodore Lunsford came out and tried to block the shot, but Randall Hager slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Hager in the 73rd minute of play forced Woodbury Heights's goalkeeper Theodore Lunsford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Laurel Bay FC's Theodore Lunsford threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeremy Byrd, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 77 minutes, George Friend mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woodbury Heights and the Laurel Bay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toby Trimble got free with Theodore Lunsford in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 minutes of play, Laurel Bay FC's Randall Hager made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theodore Lunsford was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute, Laurel Bay FC's Toby Trimble dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Juan Keenan kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Randall Hager reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Theodore Lunsford. The goal made the score 0-8. Laurel Bay FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
