Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lumberton's Kurt Diamond started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norberto Clemons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson Bassett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristobal Hughes in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson Bassett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Norberto Clemons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristobal Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jefferson Bassett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Clemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Bassett having to interfere. Cristobal Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Bassett having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Spencer Cox managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 33 minutes into the match, Lumberton's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Hughes came free, but Jefferson Bassett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stephan Cisneros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stephan Cisneros struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jefferson Bassett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stowe FC. Stephan Cisneros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute of the match Roderick Squires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jim Cardenas skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Karl Keen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stowe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Keen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Clemons made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Lumberton's Miles Stokes got a free kick in the 51st minute. Cristobal Hughes might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Bassett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Hughes ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 59 in the game by Karl Keen from a close distance when the talented Jefferson Bassett managed to make a qualified save. Lumberton's players were relieved. If Stephan Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lumberton's Brandon Ricks got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Lumberton's Jefferson Bassett got control of the ball when Karl Keen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stephan Cisneros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lumberton getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Marco Romero hit a great ball. Elijah Ramsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Bassett having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Stephan Cisneros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lumberton's Jefferson Bassett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Lumberton from getting a goal against them. Stowe FC's Stephan Cisneros got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandy Platt's late challenge caught a Stowe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandy Platt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lumberton getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Sandy Platt hit a great ball. The supporters of Stowe FC booed when Lumberton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Herron didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Karl Keen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Stowe FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
