Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sid Sprague got the match started through his kick off. Atlanta Vikings's Shane Owen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquis Spencer in the 4th minute of play. Shane Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sid Sprague in the 8th minute of play. If Marquis Spencer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Sid Sprague managed to get in a good position for a shot. Texas West's supporters rose to their feet, but Sid Sprague was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shane Owen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Vance fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eli Kirkland having to interfere. After some careless play in the Texas West defense, Javier Vance kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eli Kirkland. The Texas West fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eli Kirkland should have stopped the shot. Jeremiah Lambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eli Kirkland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Sid Sprague got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Sprague in the 40th minute of play forced Atlanta Vikings's goalkeeper Shane Owen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquis Spencer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Owen having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee gave Texas West a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by King Colby, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlanta Vikings's Shane Owen. 1-4. In the 57th minute, Jake Lynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquis Spencer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Shane Owen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Texas West's King Colby broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 65th minute, Esteban Stuart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquis Spencer got free with Shane Owen in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Shane Owen managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Texas West's Marquis Spencer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute, Jeremiah Lambert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Marquis Spencer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Texas West booed when Atlanta Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Len Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sid Sprague in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shane Owen saved Atlanta Vikings from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jake Lynn during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Texas West booed when Atlanta Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Lynn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sid Sprague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Marquis Spencer notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Atlanta Vikings's Shane Owen. Shane Owen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquis Spencer got free with Shane Owen in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sid Sprague succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-6. Sid Sprague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Owen having to interfere. Marquis Spencer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shane Owen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Sprague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Texas West's zone, Jeremiah Lambert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eli Kirkland came out of the goal and Jeremiah Lambert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Atlanta Vikings fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Texas West were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
