Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andre McKee got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre McKee in the 3rd minute of play forced Meecastle United's goalkeeper Edgardo Dooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Dooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Preston Lockett in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute of the match, Preston Lockett got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgardo Dooley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Andre McKee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Dooley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Jerome Schafer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Maxwell in the 17th minute of play. If Ricky Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johnathan Maxwell took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerome Schafer. Jerome Schafer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 26th minute of the match Otis Preston sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerome Schafer skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lake Mohawk's zone, Johnathan Maxwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Schafer came out of the goal and Johnathan Maxwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Johnathan Maxwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Meecastle United booed when Lake Mohawk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Busch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerome Schafer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lake Mohawk's Jerome Schafer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Maxwell in the 36th minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Ricky Sierra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lake Mohawk's Jerome Schafer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ricky Sierra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meecastle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricky Sierra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerome Schafer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cobi Barajas fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Mohawk's protests and gave Cobi Barajas a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Lake Mohawk got a freekick which was hit by Cobi Barajas. Jerome Schafer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Sierra in the 44th minute of play. Ricky Sierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jerome Schafer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricky Sierra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Preston Lockett took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgardo Dooley. Edgardo Dooley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 64 minutes into the game, Gilberto Busch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lake Mohawk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meecastle United the free kick. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Jerome Schafer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ricky Sierra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Schafer having to interfere. In the 77th minute Ricky Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Schafer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Simon Shapiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lake Mohawk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meecastle United the free kick. After 78 played minutes Lake Mohawk got a freekick which was hit by Simon Shapiro. Ricky Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Preston Lockett struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Edgardo Dooley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Mohawk. Lake Mohawk's Jerome Schafer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Lake Mohawk from getting a goal against them. Lake Mohawk succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Meecastle United had controlled the match.
