Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Doug Cox started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Elmhurst AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Caleb Stokes came free, but Kristopher Grayson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Grayson came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Abernathy AFC's Caleb Stokes. But to his dismay, Caleb Stokes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Abernathy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Marrero came free, but Lazaro Fay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Abernathy AFC's Alfonzo Atwood got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Elmhurst AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Cox came free, but Kristopher Grayson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Abernathy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vance Vann came free, but Lazaro Fay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elmhurst AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nathan Chase in the 23rd minute. The corner led Elmhurst AFC's Nathan Chase to fire away a dangerous shot which Lazaro Fay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Elmhurst AFC's Nathan Chase broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Abernathy AFC's Francesco Benitez got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Abernathy AFC's Doug Cox in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elmhurst AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Vance Vann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Cox in the 41st minute of play forced Elmhurst AFC's goalkeeper Kristopher Grayson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vance Vann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lazaro Fay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vance Vann to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Elmhurst AFC's goalkeeper Kristopher Grayson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonzo Atwood. If Vance Vann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristopher Grayson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Cox in the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Ernie Marrero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kristopher Grayson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Alfonzo Atwood lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Kristopher Grayson. In the 86th minute, Abernathy AFC's Doug Cox dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. With an all-out effort, Abernathy AFC's Kristopher Grayson threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfonzo Atwood, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alfonzo Atwood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kristopher Grayson made a huge save.
