Archie Whitmores short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Roberto Farrell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Gant in the 12th minute of play forced Steeleville's goalkeeper Roberto Farrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Barry Gant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyson McCann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenzo Fritz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. If Archie Whitmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Steeleville got a freekick which was hit by Robert Bullock. If Barry Gant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tyson McCann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Staton during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Woodville's Fernando Slater got a free kick in the 45th minute. Roberto Farrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Slater in the 48th minute of the match. If Archie Whitmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 55th minute of the match Steeleville got a corner. Woodville's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matthew Denne ran over to the corner to take the kick. 57 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Fritz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steeleville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodville the free kick. In the 57th minute, Lorenzo Fritz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Kurt Staton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barry Gant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Roberto Farrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frankie Clarke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steeleville's Tyson McCann got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Clarke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Vince Mooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Nathan Pulliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tyson McCann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vince Mooney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Roberto Farrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Whitmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Bullock kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When Woodville's Archie Whitmore in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steeleville's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Tyson McCann took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Vince Mooney to make any attempt to save it. Lorenzo Fritz struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vince Mooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steeleville. If Frankie Clarke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Woodville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tyson McCann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Steeleville supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Steeleville would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
