Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bob Groves started the match with the kick off. Eric Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Costello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mario Croft stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Groves's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Drew House hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Douglasville AFC's Troy Rivera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Myles Klein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darell Barton kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Douglasville AFC booed when Jamul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Groves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drew House charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Drew House the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 30 minutes into the game, one of Jamul FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 33 minutes into the match, Jamul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Rivera came free, but Neil Maher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Croft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Edmondson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglasville AFC's Troy Rivera got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Troy Rivera was the one to do the kick off. Troy Rivera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Neil Maher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Duffy kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Eric Costello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Neil Maher. Jamul FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Douglasville AFC's goalkeeper Mario Croft had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Drew House. In the 71st minute Troy Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Maher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Groves got free with Mario Croft in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Jeffrey Wilson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neil Maher was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Douglasville AFC made a substitution. Jarrett Boyd replaced Pete Pena. After 79 played minutes Jamul FC got a freekick which was hit by Bob Groves. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Groves in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Croft prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jamul FC's Bob Groves in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Douglasville AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Douglasville AFC's Eric Costello got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Mario Croft stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Groves's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Berry Hood charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berry Hood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bob Groves scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Croft, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bob Groves in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Croft saved Douglasville AFC from getting behind.
