A collision led to Old Bethpage getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Curtis Todd hit a great ball. Will Campbell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Ford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Alec MacDowell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hazel Green FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Old Bethpage's Donovan Landreth got a free kick in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Nicky Cooper took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rufus Ford to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Osvaldo Barger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Bethpage's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Barger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rufus Ford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rufus Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anson Ham, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Old Bethpage's goalkeeper Rufus Ford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Mullen came free, but Rufus Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rufus Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernie Mullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernie Mullen in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rufus Ford saved Old Bethpage from getting behind. In the 56th minute Ernie Mullen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Old Bethpage's Rufus Ford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Will Campbell in the 57th minute of play. Ernie Mullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rufus Ford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alec MacDowell in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Old Bethpage's Elliott Hanks got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 70 minutes into the match, Old Bethpage's goal looked a bit too open when Will Campbell came free, but Rufus Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Barger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Young Barr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rufus Ford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonah Vogt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Will Campbell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute Elliott Hanks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Young Barr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donovan Landreth charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donovan Landreth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Hanks in the 86th minute of play forced Hazel Green FC's goalkeeper Young Barr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donovan Landreth kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Will Campbell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rufus Ford was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Old Bethpage's Osvaldo Barger got a free kick in the 94th minute. Osvaldo Barger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
