Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edgardo Ferris got the match started through his kick off. Young Barr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Ferris, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Hazel Green FC's goalkeeper Young Barr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vernon Tidwell. After a defensive mix-up in Hazel Green FC's zone, Edgardo Ferris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Young Barr came out of the goal and Edgardo Ferris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincenzo Croft got free with Young Barr in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Will Campbell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hazel Green FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Will Campbell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Layton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Robby Wesley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Young Barr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Hazel Green FC's Alec MacDowell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley Layton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Kristofer Hand fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clifton Heights's protests and gave Kristofer Hand a yellow card for diving instead. Kristofer Hand hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Ernie Mullen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vincenzo Croft who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Young Barr when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Edgardo Ferris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Young Barr was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Edgardo Ferris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Young Barr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Will Campbell to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Clifton Heights booed when Hazel Green FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonah Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Hazel Green FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicky Cooper to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Clint Dickson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clifton Heights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clint Dickson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincenzo Croft in the 61st minute of play forced Hazel Green FC's goalkeeper Young Barr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Clifton Heights getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Vernon Tidwell hit a great ball. Jonah Vogt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hazel Green FC's Ernie Mullen got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Young Barr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Ferris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
