After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Len Tobin managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Wenatchee FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Len Tobin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Link breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Cooperstown AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of East Wenatchee FC:s goal. In the 37th minute, Cooperstown AFC's Mike Parrish dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 41st minute of the match Emerson Hampton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurice Link skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Mike Parrish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cooperstown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Parrish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathaniel Espinoza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, East Wenatchee FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathaniel Espinoza came free, but Myles Albert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, East Wenatchee FC's Emerson Hampton got a free kick in the 54th minute. Myles Albert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Parrish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Len Tobin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maurice Link tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Drew Bond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Link saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Combs, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Myles Albert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Parrish in the 86th minute of play. If Mike Parrish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Nathaniel Espinoza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cooperstown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathaniel Espinoza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Nathaniel Espinoza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cooperstown AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
