After a defensive mix-up in Vanquish Utd's zone, Mike Parrish stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Burks came out of the goal and Mike Parrish tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cooperstown AFC's Nathaniel Espinoza in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mike Parrish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Burks having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Adair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cooperstown AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanquish Utd the free kick. A collision led to Cooperstown AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rodolfo Adair hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Wilton Hollingsworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elton McLeod kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Nathaniel Espinoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elton McLeod fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanquish Utd's protests and gave Elton McLeod a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Vanquish Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elton McLeod to maneuver through the defense. Garry Robertson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moises Burks. Vanquish Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nathaniel Espinoza in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moises Burks saved Vanquish Utd from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rex Frey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vanquish Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Rex Frey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Link breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th match minute, Vanquish Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Dubose to maneuver through the defense. Mike Parrish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Moises Burks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vanquish Utd defense, Nathaniel Espinoza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moises Burks. The Vanquish Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moises Burks should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Vanquish Utd's Maurice Link threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddie Elder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Mike Parrish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Vanquish Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cooperstown AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddie Elder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mike Parrish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Moises Burks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Stuart Dubose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vanquish Utd's Moises Burks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Robertson in the 89th minute of play. Mike Parrish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Espinoza in the 95th minute of play forced Vanquish Utd's goalkeeper Moises Burks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cooperstown AFC played a much better game than Vanquish Utd and deserved their victory. The Vanquish Utd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
