Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rey Boston kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Wellford AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Everett Louis hit a great ball. In the 6th match minute, Topton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monte Shelton to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Travis Cangiano made a precise shot to the right of Santos Thurman. Wellford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Percy Riker's late challenge caught a Wellford AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Riker helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Percy Riker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Freddy Proctor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregg Erickson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eric Levy struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gregg Erickson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellford AFC. Maurice Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Santos Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ronny Handy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronny Handy in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Thurman saved Wellford AFC from getting behind. Santos Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Handy in the 29th minute of the match. When Ronny Handy came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Topton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Handy couldn't finish the play. Maurice Freeman in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santos Thurman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Maurice Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Handy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Thurman having to make a save. Maurice Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronny Handy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santos Thurman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Handy, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronny Handy made a kick off. Santos Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Freeman in the 57th minute of the match. When Christopher Snyder fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wellford AFC's protests and gave Christopher Snyder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Christopher Snyder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Wellford AFC's Rey Boston in the 60th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gregg Erickson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Topton through an amazing save. After a defensive mix-up in Wellford AFC's zone, Maurice Freeman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Thurman came out of the goal and Maurice Freeman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Cliff Rutledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellford AFC's Santos Thurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Handy in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute, Everett Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Topton's Elliot Starks tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Wellford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Freeman came free, but Santos Thurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronny Handy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Santos Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maurice Freeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ronny Handy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Topton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
